Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Eatma app ("Eatma", "we", "us") handles your data. If you have any questions, contact us at info@eatma.app.
Data we collect
- Account: your email and, if you use Sign in with Apple, the identifier Apple provides.
- Profile you provide: sex, age, height, weight, goals and similar inputs used to calculate your targets.
- Diary: the meals and foods you log, food photos, water, activities, workouts and steps.
- Apple Health: steps and workouts, only if you grant permission.
- Purchases: your subscription status. Payments are handled by Apple; we do not receive your card details.
Food photos and AI
When you scan a meal, the photo is sent to Google and processed through the Gemini API to recognize the dish and estimate its nutrition. You can delete a logged photo at any time.
How we use your data
We use your data only to run the app: to log your food, calculate your targets, recognize meals, sync the activity you enable, and manage your subscription. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Apple Health
We use Apple Health data only to provide features you enable. We never use it for advertising, never sell it, and never share it except to provide the app. You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings.
Third parties
We share data only with providers that help us run the app — Apple (sign-in, purchases, Health), Google (meal recognition) and our hosting provider — and only so they can provide their service to us.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account and all of its data from within the app; we delete your data immediately. You can also email info@eatma.app.
Children
Eatma is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with an updated date.
